About me

I was born and brought up in Kashmir Valley. I am an academic researcher, and have been a regular contributor to Wikimedia projects since March 2019. I am an enthusiastic traveller and randomly photograph nature: sky, water and else. I established Deoband Community Wikimedia in 2021 to help document knowledge related to global Muslim academia on Wikimedia projects (see my role account TheAafi (DCW)). I also have a mobile account: AafiOnMobile.

My work

I am an administrator and a translation administrator on Wikimedia Commons. I'd be mostly found around COM:UR and Volunteer Response Team/Noticeboard. I am an eliminator on Urdu Wikipedia where I mostly focus keeping "In The News section" up to date. I am a global renamer, and a translation admin on Meta-Wiki and Wikidata. I am also a global VRT-permissions agent. I feel happy when asked to help, and consider myself a learner. I will appreciate if you highlight any mistake that I might have made!
